My Dear President Obama and Secretary Clinton,

This is my 163rd formal letter that I am sending to you (1) requesting formal recognition and (2) U.S. Secret Service protection, (3) as well as to have my basic needs (food, shelter, clothing and that kind of things, etc.) provided for by your government.

I am poor, homeless, unemployed, and disabled. Living out on the streets of Honolulu USA! There is no dignity in being here and this is no condition for a foreign head of state to be facing as a guest in your nation.

As you do know, officially by China’s history, I am China’s current succession emperor-in-exile. My grandfather came to Hawaii in 1871 to escape Manchurian persecution and certain death. My father and I were born here, and the Han-Chinese imperial succession of China, now that my father is deceased, falls to me. From what I understand, if a foreign head of state needed your nation’s protection, in time of trouble, perhaps his nation was conquered or claimed by a foreign group of people, and that he needed security protection, food, shelter, etc. These needs would be provided to him by the host nation, your nation, yes? Would you allow the head of state of the largest and most populous nation on the face of this earth to go hungry and without, while he is a guest in your nation and politely asking for your nation’s help? Would your nation help and provide for such a person in his time of need?

As of January 5, 2013, I have been living out of the streets of Honolulu, being evicted by the homeless shelter where I was staying. It would be very nice and it would be the decent thing to do to provide me with my needs and dignity as well as U.S. Secret Service protection.

Waiting to hear from you and I may not last too long or might be “accidently” killed in your nation, as I have already been threatened about four to six times by people saying that they are going to kill me! In most cases, police reports have been made. Here, too, you have a truly good person, a diplomat and foreign head of state in poverty and hoping for federal assistance from you (federal and state government) as well as for police and Secret Service protection, while I am a guest in your very thoughtful, just, and upright nation.

Hoping to hear from you, I am currently on the streets living as a “street person”!

Sincerely yours,

HIM Yao Sui,

States of America), a humanitarian and
